Probiotics Colon Cleanse

While a colon cleanse flushes out the different toxic waste materials and fecal matters from the colon, it also removes the different bacteria which are present in the colon and the GI tract. Although bad bacteria are eliminated from the colon, good bacteria are eliminated too. As a result, the removal of this beneficial bacteria may cause problems in the proper functioning of the different organs of your body.

A colon cleanse does not distinguish between toxins and good bacteria and as such may cause bacterial imbalance within the GI tract. This imbalance may lead to constipation, fatigue, digestive problems, acne, other skin problems and in extreme cases malnutrition. So, the simple answer to this is to take probiotics during and after a colon cleanse.

With the exception of yogurt, which is a natural source for good bacteria, many of the food that we generally eat lack in good bacteria due to the processing methods used. So, a good way to get the good bacteria to your body is through supplements. Probiotics should be taken about 30 minutes before mealtime. Always drink plenty of water and to get the best results, probiotics should be taken for an extended period of time.
